(Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 17, " At a meeting of the Council of Middle district of New Zealand University this afternoon, a committee was appointed to ascertain what reserves were available in the Middle district, and a general meeting will be called when Government's reply to yesterday's deputation is received. Captain Russell said it would be desirable to move as soon as possible in the direction of getting Government to set aside 20,000 acres of more of native land. In the course of 50 or 100 years such reserve would become a magnificent property. Mr Hogg stated that a reserve of 20 acres in Masterton was bringing in £600 a year, and before long the revenue from it would bs about MOQO. .."•
