Fatal Boat Accident.

Wellington, This Day, Mr Mills, M.H.R., received news this morning of the supposed drowning of a settler named Recce Evans and a Maori named Isaacs of Durville Island. The party had been landed at Port Hardy for the purpose of cattle hunting and Evans and Isaacs were to take a boat round to another part of the Island and meet them. They left Port Hardy with this intention but although every search has been made nothing has since been seen or heard of the boat or its occupants.
