Pohangina Cricket Club.

The annual general meeting of the above was held in the Public Hall on Saturday last, a large number of members being present. The Club must be congratulated on having a small balance in hand after the first season's operations. A discussion took place as to a suitable grouud for play, and ultimately a committee was apT pointed to select one. The election of officers resulted as follows : —Captain, J. G. Browne ; vice-Captain, C. Selby; Match Committee, G. Adsett and S. Roberts; Ground Committee, Messrs Roberts, Adsett, and Taylor; Secretary. A. E. Welsh; Treasurer, T. Taylor. It was resolved, That all members wear straw hats with light blue bands ; That the Club join the Union ; That the sxbseription be os ; That Messrs Arbe»n and Grieve, junr., be asked to become President and vicePresident respectively.
