Knights of Labour.

(Per .Press Association). Wellington, July 15. The Wellington Knights of Labor have passed a series of resolutions on political subjects. Amongst other things they urge the Government to extend the Municipal franchise ; give easier opportunities for settling on the land ; increase of poll tax on Chinese to £100 ; abolish duties on the necessaries of life .; establish a State Bank ; support the Referendum Bill and State Fire Insurance ; equal rights on both sexes in marriage and divorce ; also calling on members to support an elective executive, party government being a failure. This Day. A deputation from the Knights of Labour Assembly interviewed the Premier this morning. Mr Seddon said with regard to the proposal to hold a conference re frozen meat that Mr Ward was taking great interest in the matter, and the Government would give its assistance.
