THE MISSING VESSEL STONELEIGH.
NELSON BROS.' NEW COMPANY. CRICKET NEWS. A BRAZILIAN LOAN. (Per Press Association.) London, July 12. The ship Dunsyre, from Sydney, reports that after leaving the Australian coast she fell in with very severe weather. The ship Stoneleigh passed the Dunsyre, but later on the latter passed a quantity of wreckage, which possibly may have belonged to the Stoneleigh. Messrs Montague, Nelson, W. S. Davidson, W. N. Holmes, M. C. Thompson, and M. B. Byas, have been appointed Directors of the Nelson Co-operative Company. The other seats arc reserved for colonial representatives. The Advisory Board of the new company in New Zealand consists of the Hon. J. G. Ward, John McKonzie, and Mr W. Nelson. Playing against Somerset, Essex scored 692 runs. The Eton-Harrow match was a draw in favor of Eton. Rothschild issues in London a Brazilian loan of L 6,000,000 at 5 per cent, with minimum of 8;5» Brussels, July 14. The Senate passed the protection tariff by a majority of clericals. Calcutta July 12 The Ameer of Afghanistan has released Utnra Khan.
