The Stock Market.

Messrs Nolan, Tonks and Co.'s stock report : — We held a clearing sale for Mr J. T. Stone at Okaiawa on the 9bh inst. There was a large attendance, and eyerything passed off satisfactorily. At Kakaramea on the 11th inst. the quantity of stock advertised came forwurd. Owing to rough weather the attendance was small, consequently some of the stock had to return unsold. We quote — At Mr J. T. Stone's sale— Dairy heifers, spring ealvers, £4 5s to £5 10 ; backward springers, .£3 15s to £4 10s; store cows, £3] 2h year steers, £2 13s 6d ; fat and forward cows £3 15s to £3 163; cows and calves, £3 3s ; lambs, 4s 6d ; 2 tooth wethers, 8s Id ; 2 tooth mixed, 7s I Id ; empty ewes, 5s 5d ; cull awes, 3s 2d ; heavy draught mares, £16 to £20 ; light draughts, £9 10a to £15 ; yearling draught filly, £16 ; hacks, £3 10s to £9 ; Implements fetched fair prices. At Kakaramea— Wean ere, 22s 6d to 25s ; backward springers, £3 7s 6d to £4 ; forward springers £4 15s ; 2 year heifers, £2 2s 6d. Sheep— Ewes, in lamb, 6s 8d ; woolly lambs, 6s. Messrs Abraham and Williams report on their horse sale at Palmerston last Saturday as follows : — We had a full yarding on Saturday though one mob of advertised horses did not turn up. There was more business doing than of late, the bulk finding purchasers. No special demand exists for any one class, and prices throughout are without alteration, We sold a pair of draughts suitable for farm work at .£27 ; lighter sorts, £11 ; horse, dray and harness, .£ll 5s ; neat pony, £1 ; inferior hacks, £2 10s to £4 ; crocks, 21s to 32s 6d.
