HUNT CLUB RACES.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 13. At the Hunt Club races to-day the weather was fine. The attendance was about 800, including Lord and Lady Glasgow and family. The sum of £3141 was put through the machines, £27 more than last year. Results: — Maiden Steeplechase —Gladstone 1, Silent Friend 2. Eight others started. Wansaimoana finished first but could not pull the weight and Gladstone was awarded the race. Dividend, £5 3s. Open Hurdles —Hopeful 1, Unity 2, Spreydon 3. Three others started. Won by a neck. Dividend, £1 103. Hunt Club Steeplechase —Cyrus 11. 1, Mozel 2, Seddon 3. Six others started. Dividend, £0 10s. Open Steeplechase —Dromedary 1, Austral 2, Awarua 3. Eight others ran. Won easily. Dividend, £6. Ladies' Bracelet —Sedition 1, Makoniako 2, Cyrus 11. 3. Diridend, £4 6s. Hack Race —Bonafide beat eleven others. Dividend, £11 15s Hunters' Hurdles—Bird 1, The Cadger 2, Pyrites 3. Dividend, £8 ss.
