Gaming and Lotteries Act.
{Per Press Association.) Christchuhch, July 12. The publisher of the Press Company was to-day charged with a breach of the Gaming and Lotteries Act in publishing an advertisement inviting persons to take shares in sweepstakes and lotteries. The defence asked for a judicial decision upon the question as to whether a breach of the Act had been committed. Judgment was reserved.
