MEETING OF MRS DICKSON'S CREDITORS. A meeting of creditors in tho bankrupt estate of Mrs E. Dickson, fruiterer, of Halcombe, was called for yesterday after noon, at the Feilding Court House. The 1) O.A. examined the debtor, who was present with her solicitor, Mr Prior. No creditors were present. The following is a list of the liabilities and assets, as sworn : —Wanganui — Collier and Co. £15. Marton— J. Nichol, £12 16s 3d; Rangitikei Advocate, £3. Palmerston — Erenstrom and Andrews, £9 lGs 9d ; D.O. A. in the estate of Franklin-Browne, £5 9s Bd ; W. Beck, £4 19s 4d; F.Aisher, £1 5s 4d ; Singer Sewing Machine Co., £1 os. Rata -J. Assets—Stock-in-trade at Halconibe, estimated at £1 10s; book debts, £25, estimated to produce £•17 ; furniture, £25 ; total assets, £43 10s. Deficiency, £33 18s lld. _ The debtor, in her sworn statement, said she was left a widow eight years ago with a family of twelve children, four of whom she had to support. Up to eighteen months ago she did any work she could get. She then took a small fruit shop at Halconibe, selling most of her furniture to stock it. She had a few cows and a horse, which were under bill of sale to Mr Linton. The fruit Bhop was not a sue cess, and she attributed her bankmptf.y to this, through sickness of her children, bad debts, and fruit going bad.
