Fire at New Plymouth.

(Per Press Association). New Plymouth, This Day. 1 The school room in connection with Miss Roser's Ladies' College was destroyed by fire shortly before noon to-day. The pupils had gone on a three days' holiday but an entertainment was to have taken place this eveuing. The building and contents including a valuable piano and a large library, were totally destroyed and the residence was only saved by the activity of the Fire Brigade. Insurances. — Building in Royal, £150; school furniture (including piano, £50), Imperial, for £150. All the children's books were burnt.
