The N.Z.L.. & M.A. Company is in receipt of the following cable from its London Office— Wool— Since close o' last sales the following alterations have taken place in the market:— Superior greasy washed and scoured merino, Id per lb higher ; greasy merino medium and inferior, scoured merino medium and inferior, fine greasy crossbred, medium greasy crossbred, to Id per lb higher ; coarse greasy crossbred, Id to l-\d per lb higher. Medium scoured crossbred, coarse scoured crossbred, greasy merino; lambs superior greasy crossbred lambs, M to Id per lb higher ; washed merino medium and inferior, fine scoured crossbred, par to Id per lb higher. Home buyers are purchasing freely. The American demand has increased. Competition on German account is fairly active, and on French account only moderate. The total quantity catalogued to date is 86,000 bales. Wheat — New Zealand long-berried, spot quotations have declined 6d per 4961 b since last report ; quotations nominal.
