OinusTciiUßcii, July 7. P.achcl Livingstone, 80 years of age, who was living by herself, was found dead yesterday. She was a woman of sonic small means. Deceased was last seen alive on Thursday. Wellington, July 7. The members of the Tariff Commission entertained their Chairman (Major Steward) at Bellamy's on SaturclE.3' night. Four members of the Government were present. The speeches eulogised the Chairman for the excellent manner in which he carried out the arduous duties. The Commission r* made a presentation to Mrs Steward of a valuable ladies' handbag. This Day. A body supposed to be that of Larsen, the other occupant of the missing steam launch Olga, was found yesterday on the beach, eight miles south of the Mauawatu River. Auckland, July 6. The agents of the steamer Warrimoo have applied to the Harbour Board for remission of the port charges on the steamer's visit to this port, pointing out that the steamer is only calling here to land the Hou J. G-. Ward, an act of courtesy to the Government of New Zealand. Four thousand five hundred names have been struck off the city roll and 400 new names registered. The total now on the roll is 16.500. He had suffered from a violent fit during the night.
