THE SALVATION ARMY. THE FOURTH OF JULY IN PARIS. (Per Press Association.) London, July 7. The formal enquiry of the London Trades Council has resulted in acquitbiug the Salvation Army of the charges of sweating printers, and the Council refuse to join in a demonstration against the Army. Mr Valentine reports that the Tasmaniau suggestion for a joint colonial store for Australian products in East London is not commercially workable. Paris, July 5. The Americans in Paris held a special celebration in honour of the Fourth of July. M. Honotaux, Minister for Foreign Affairs, who was present, said America had realised the dreams of the founders of the Republic. It was now a great example of Democratic liberty and a powerful clement iv the concord of pence.
