The subject of the scheme proposed by Mr D. J. Nathan still continues to occupy public attention in the colony, and is gradually becoming prominent among those interested in the trade in London. The following suggestive letter was recently received by Mr Nathan from a correspondent who was formerly in business in England as a butcher : — " I know for a fact that New Zealand, Australian, and American.meat is continually sold for English at jf.ome. by nearly all the butchers.
