A MSE IN PBICE. (Per Press Association). London, July 2. At the wool sales 14,559 bales were offered, chiefly from New South Wales and Queensland. There was an unusually large attendance of buyers, and competition was keen. American and. English were the chief buyers. Medium and good merinos and crossbreds were 10 per cent, and faulty sorts 5 per cent, above tho May closing rates. Murray, Eoberts and Co. have received the following wool market cable from their London House, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated 2nd July : — The sales opened with a largo attendance of buyers, and competition is brisk. Merino wools have advanced 5 per cent, to 7j pet cent., aud crossbreda 5 per cent to 10 per cent, as compared with the closing rates of last series.
