The Frozen Meat Trade.

(Per Press Association.) Wellington, July 2. Mr D. J. Nathan, in a letter to the Post, combats the pessimistic view taken by Mr Duthie of the quality of New Zealand meat. He urges it is more than probable that the inferior lamb shown to Mr Duthie was brought forward for a special purpose, viz , to continue a " bear " movement against Wellington shipments. Mr Nathan asserts tliat the local exports of late have shown much improvement, and the difference in price between that now obtained and when the trade first began, must be accounted for by other reasons than inferior quality.
