Gomiay and Stokes Company.

The above company appeared in the Feilding Assembly Rooms last evening before a crowded house, and fully sustained their reputation in the comedy-burlesque " Keyels." From the rise of the curtain the audience were kept in convulsions of laughter with the comicalities and witticisms of the several artistes who graced the " boards," chief amongst whom were the inimitable Mr Wm. Gourlay, as " Tommy Shakespeare," and his very clever sister. Miss Amy, who represented " Kitty Kinley," the vivacious lover of "Tommy." "Mr Theodore Fatinahn," Mr Leonard Preston, afforded considerable amusement in bis impersonation of simplicity. Miss May Clark as ♦' Daisy Hardacre," Mr W. Bayly as " Major Hardacre," Miss, Eose Bertrand as " Mrs Tadpcle," and Mr Milton Moss as "Mr Tadpole," are also capable artistes and did full justice to their characters. In fact, the whole of the company are really good, and there is not one " duffer " amongst them. " Revels "is rightly described as being " very, very funny," and even the most cynical cannot help indulging in a good laugh, domic songs were introduced, and Miss Amy Gourlay was encored the third time for the song " Don't you believe it," and was aleo well received in the song " What do I care." Mr Gourlay had to respond to an encore for the song ''Shop Walking," and "'E duuno where 'c are." Several other coster songs were also introduced. The burlesque duet, " The little peach," by Miss Amy Gourlay and Mr Gourlay was very funny, as also was the burlesque on the " Oorsican Brothers," by Messrs Gourlay and Preston. This company is certainly one of the best and most amusing that has ever played before a Feilding audience, and we have no hesitation in saying that if they return, and we understand it is possible the management may decide to at the end of about six months, it will be greeted by one of the largest audiences ever seen in the Assembly Booms.
