RELEASE OF DEAN. COMMENTS OF THE PRESS. (Per Press Association.) Sydkfa', Juno 28. The Cabinet having considered the Commission's report, decided to release Dean immediately A large crowd assembled at the gaol and cheered Dean when he came out. Two of the Commissioners were for and one against the release of Dean. This Day. The Herald says tho result of the Comrnisfiiou restoring Dean to liberty will certainly give relief to public feeling, ami will, perhaps, supply a weighty reminder of the necessity for great caution and thoroughness in investigation by those responsible for the adminisfcratioii of justice. The Telegraph states the release of Dean rectified, as far as possible, ono of the most serious mistakes ever made by tho administration of justice in this colony. Dean, when addressing the committee who had worked so hard for his release, declared his innocence and he hoped to prove that their coutidcuce had not been misplaced.
