The Gourlay and Stokes Company.
There will be a moon on Mon daj* next and our country readers Bhonld not fai to take advantage of it to drive in and see this clever company, who only play here one night en route for Auckland. Mr Wm. Gourlay as a comedian is excellent, and as Tommy Shakespeare in " Revels " he cannot fail to amuse his audience. His sister, Miss Amy Gourlay, is described as graceful and vivacious, and some of their business is " immense." Mr Preston, specially engaged from London, plays the part of Theodore Fatmahn, the influenza smitten dude, and his bur» lesque on the duel scene in " The Corsican Brothers " with Mr Gourlay, never fails to convulse his audience. Backed up by a well-drilled and clever chorus, and some very pretty young ladies, the compauy will probably take a bumper house on Monday night.
