Bad Weather at Nelson.

(Per i J ress Association). Nelson, June 26. There was a phenomenal rainfall early on Monday, and it is believed a waterspout broke on the bills. A very heavy landslip occurred in the gully at the rear of Mr Winter's house. A clam was formed by the slip, but, this giving way, the water and debris came down and carried a nine-roomed house before it, which Mrs Winter and a daughter ran from. The former was struck by a corner of the house, but her daughter raised her and they ran down the paddock. Before reaching the gato the debris overtook them and Mrs Winter was thrown against a gate. She is much bruised, but not seriously hurt. The house is practically demolished. , v
