[Per Press Association.] Invercargill, June 20. This afternoon the Crown Prosecutor addressed the jury in the Dean infant murder case, and Mr Hanlon followed for the defence, calling no witnesses. Mr Hanlon 's line of defence was the death of Dorothy Edith Carter was the result of misadventure, accused having given her an overdose of laudanum. There might have been culpable negligence, and if the jury were of that opinion, they might return a virdict of manslaughter, but the evidence, he con* tended, did dot justify the graver finding of wilful murder. ,• ,
