* GIGANTIC LOSSES FOR THE YEAR. (Per Press Association). Sydney, June 18. The report of the Liquidator of the Mercantile Bank of Australia shows altogether £536,000 received, out of wbich £448,000 was paid in three dividends aggregating 5s lOd in the£. The amount paid in the calls amounted to £235,000, and the losses during the year, owing to tbe depreciation of property and other causes, is estimated at £'1,390,000.
