From Hobart she encountered moderate gales with high seas and squally weather. Towards the end ot May she passed 14 icebergs- On May 81st, Robertson, an A.B. fell from the foreyard and broke his leg. Napier, June 19. At the Supreme Court Michael Sullivan, for wounding Arthur McCartney, was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment ; Geo. Ellis, alias W. Roberts, for forgery, was sent to gaol for two years ; Stephen Brigbting convicted of horse stealing, for twelve months ; and Richard Torpey, for forgery, to two years. Christchurch, June 18. The weather is bitterly cold, with frequent showers of rain and sleet The Wakatipu took 305 sheep from Lyttelton to tbe Sydney show and sales. Tbis Day. A large representative meeting was held at Cheviot and a resolution carried to ask tbe Government to capitalise tbe next half-years rent at 4 per cent for five years. A deputation bas been appointed to interview the Ministers.
