« (Per Press Association.) Liondon, June 17. Information has been received that the Turkish police are outraging and killing the peasantry in Macedonia. Tbe growing disorder has alarmed the Sultari. As the conspirators in Sofia are beyond control, it is impossible to avoid a conflict. Turkey, in reply to the Powers, denies the Berlin treaty confers the right on the Powers to demand a guarantee for Armenia, and hopes the Sultan's sovereign rights will not be prejudiced. Tbe Porte accepts the principle of the proposed reforms, but requests further discussion upon details.
