There was a large attendance on the showground on Saturday to witness the Senior Cup match between Pirates and Paunerstou. After a stubbornly fought and keenly contested game the match ended in a draw, neither side scoring. The following will represent the Pirate II on Wednesday next against the Tied Stars on the Show ground (Pa'nierston) :—Full-back, TorteDSon ; three-quarters, Lyons, F. Lyons, Slattery ; halves, Richards (captain), Percival: wings, Henderson, G. Evans. forwards, De Blois, Blom, Crichton; Wickliffe, Di^on, Sharm&n, Milverton, In the Senior Cup match, Wanganui v. Waverley, on the former's ground, last Saturday afternoon, Wanganui won by four tries to nil. This match puts both clubs on even terms for the cup. The following Junior Cup matches will be played on Wednesday:—Feiiding II v Half-Holiday, at Feilding ; Pirates II v Red Stars, at Palmerston.
