LAND AND INCOME TAX IN JEOPARDY. IPEB PEESS ASSOCIATION.) Sydney, This Day. The Council rejected a motion on behalf of the Government to postpone the Land and Income Tax Assessment Bill for a week, and decided by a large majority to take the second reading today. Members complained it was being purposely kept back. It is believed the Council intend to hang the Bill up or else deal summarily with it. Should this be the case an early prorogation is certain.
