The Unemployed.
(FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION) Chbistchuech, June 12. The Mayor is calling a meeting of citiiens of Christchurch and suburbs to be held on Friday afternoon to assist in providing a fund to giye work during the winter to those out of employment. In the meantime the Mayor has telegraphed to the Premier to ascertain whether Government is prepared to give a pound for pound subsidy on all money that may be raised.
