The French Foreign Policy.
(Per Press Association.) Paris, June 11. During the debate in the Chamber of Deputies, Socialists questioned the propriety of forming a dangerous friendship with Germany and meddling with the China Japanese trouble in the interests of Russia. M. Hanotaux, Foreign Minister, said the Ministry desired to restore the nation's share in the concert of the Great Powers, ancl to prove that she had regained her authority, and to show that France's existence and strength were essential to maintain the equilibrium of Europe and the world. The Government had sought the Russian alliance in order to restore the position of the nation, and the two powers had agreed to co-operate. He had telegraphed to St. Petersburg explaining that the French Government placed the alliance in the first rank of their foreign policy, and that they intended to support the Russian demands in China.
