Canterbury Women's Institute.

(Per Press Association). CiiEisTciiuucii, June 12. At a meeting of the Canterbury Women's Institute it was stated that tlie report that a delegate had been appointed to attend a meeting to form an Anti-Chinese League was erroneous. A resolution in favor of federation with an international council of women was carried. It was decided to pro test against the lightness of the sentence recently passed on two men convicted of a criminal offence on a child of tender years.
