Ex-Judge Edwards and the Government.

[Per Press Association! Wellington, June 11. Mr W. B. Edwards publishes the correspondence between him and Government respecting the circumstances of his removal from the judicial bench and the loss incurred by him thereby. In a letter dated May 16th he asks for an inquiry into the whole matter. On May 28th Government replied that they did not propose to take any action in the matter. On June 6th Mr Edwards replied to this refusal, saying he scarcely anticipated any other answer after the repeated refusals he had met with, but sooner or later he doubted not the measure of justice, which since 1892 he had asked for in vain, would be accorded him.
