o [Per Press Association [ • Wellington, This Day. It is understood that it is intended to postpone the presentation of the birthday memorial to Mr Seddon until after Mr Ward's reception, and that, in addition to the address to the Premier, it is proposed to present Mrs Seddon with 1000 sovereigns.
Wanganui Education Board. l The Board again met on Tuesday morning. All the members being present except Mr Beckett. Technical School. — The Minister of Education could not promise any vote towards enlarging the Wanganui Technical School. Cheltenham— Application for enlargement to be considered when building grant received. Maoris— On Mr I'iraui's motion, Minister be asked to assist towaidi building grant, because of number of Maori children attending. Aahurst— Mr Piraui to have damago by fire repaired and claim to be sent to Government for cost. On the motion of Mr Pirani, seconded by Mr Hurley, it was decided to ask Crchool Committees to recommend Truant Inspectors, remuneration to be paid out of lines received. The Board then adjourned.
