Sudden Death of a Wanganui Resident.

(Per Press Association). Waxg.vnui, June 7. A sad and sudden death occurred last evening when Mr Garland W. R. Woon, a very old resident, fell into the river owing to failure of the heart. Mr Woon was for sixteen years Clerk of the R.M. and District Courts here, and was retrenched in 1892. His eldest son was the late Eey. William Woon, Wesleyan Missionary to New Zealand and the Friendly Islands. Deceased was founder of the first newspaper in New Plymouth, the Taranaki Herald.
