PEMBERTON SCHOOL.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — I have lived some years in Pemberton, and do not feel surprised at parents complaining that their children do not get on well with their learning when our school affairs are managed by men who to-day promise to do one thing and to-morrow go contrary to that promise, as in the case of a member who visited Pemberton latelj', and who distinctly said he would visit the Rangiwahia clearing the following day, and did not do so, thereby disappointing a number of people who waited the whole day to interview him re school affairs. " Mr Ruler, the Czar of Russia," seems to prefer a committee of bachelors for Pemberton school rather than one of parents, of whom there are very few within two miles of the school. I am, etc., D. Ritzmann.
