New Plymouth Petroleum Works.
[Per Press Association! New Plymouth, June 3. Tbe public were present at the pumping operations to-day, when 4 barrels of 100 gallons of oil was obtained. Tbe oil flowed freely and the public were delighted at what thoy saw. Three thousand shares in the new Company were applied for to day. A number of new bores will be proceeded with. It is reported that several new companies are iv process of formation.
