o I PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. T Melbourne, June 3. The directors of the Central Mine, Broken Hill, have examined the workings, and arc highly impressed with the promising character of the developments. Iv the 400 ft level the bulk of the assays for several days past have averaged 57 oxs of silver to the ton. Through these dcvelopemcnts it is believed the shareholders will not finally confirm the proposal to sell. Sydney, June 3. The market for silver stocks is again very active. Large sales have beeri effected, and there is an advance all round. Central Broken Hills have risen to five shillings and the tone at closing was strong. This Day. Experts arc of opinion that the development of koalin in Central Mine eclipses anything yet discovered there. The characteristics are similar to a find in Block 10 some years ago, and is thought to be a continuation of that lode. Adelaide, This Day. Shareholders in the Central Mine, in view of the new discovery, arc calling a meeting to arrange to prevent the sale of the property.
