The Uriwera Survey

[Per Press Association | . Rotorua, This Day. The Hon Mr Carroll reached the camp of To Whaiti on Friday. The force under arms number 60. The men are employed in clearing a good track through the Ruatabana in the heart of the Uriwera county. The natives appear to be willing to allow the surveys to proceeed without interruption. Oyer 100 cooperative labourers are at work, a study looking lot of men, and they are making rapid progress with the roads which will open up some of the wildest and grandest scenery in the North Island.
