A Mysterious Death.

Q (Per Press Association.) Pieefton, May 30. Robert Atkinson was brought from Lyell to the Reeftou Hospital on Monday and died on Tuesday night. The funeral was announced for to-day but was postponed, circumstances having arisen which necessitate an enquiry. The post mortem showed congestion of the lungs and liver and disease of the heart sufficient to account for death, but it was also found that the skull was fractured. It is not known in what way the fracture was made, and enquiries have been set on foot. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
