THE ENGLISH DERBY.
(Per Press Association.) London. May 20. The betting at the start for the Derby was : — 9 to 1 against Sir Yisto, 100 to 8 Kirkconncll, 83 to 1 Curzon, 100 to 15 Laveno. liockhamptou, which ran fourth, led the field into the straight, when St. Yisto made his effort, and won by threequarters of a length. It was an unexpected victory, and the crowd wildly cheered Lord Rosobery as he led the horse back to the saddling enclosure.
