Feilding Bowling Club.
A meeting of the above Club was held at Mr Basting's Hotel last evening. Present—Messrs W. A. L. Bailey (in the chair), Hodren, Scott, Bray senr and junr, A. E. Allan, Thompson, iVlillp, Worsfold, Bastings, Carthew, McLaren, Say well, and Davy, A report from the Ground Committee was read to the effect that the ground was in good condition, and recommended makinc ground for eight rinks, viz, 120 ft by 120 ft, and estimated the cost not to exceed .£l5O, and further recommending that the work should be started at once, Mr Carthew gave notice to rescind resolution fixing £150 debentures as minimum at a meeting to be held on Saturday evening, June Ist, at 8 o'clock, at Mr Bastings' Hotel, and asked that notice be given asking attendance. It was proposed by Mr Bastings, and seconded by Mr Worsfold, That the land be secured at once, and that the amount be paid over. — Carried. After a vote of thanks to the chairman the meeting adjourned.
