At the Oddfellows' social Bishop Wallis said he was the bearer of greetings from a Cambridge Lodge of the Manchester Unity which proposes to establish a woman's branch, and if the example was followed in Wellington, Mrs Wallia desired to be admitted as a member. The Typographical Society has submitted to the Colonial Secretary, the Minister in charge of the Government Printing Office, a scheme by which all the unemployed compositors in the Colony may obtain employment in the printing office during the ensuing session. Cheistchuech, May 27. In response to a request of the deputawhich waited on him on Saturdaj', the Mayor of Christchurch has consented to call a meeting of the representatives of public bodies and others interested in obtaining work for unemployed, when the best means of dealing with the question will be considered. It is understood that a royal commission of enquiry into the administration of the Christchurch hospital will commence its sittings next week. Dunedin, May 25. The remains of the lite Bishop Moran are now lying in state at St. Joseph's Cathedral Large numbers visited the building to-day.
