Feilding Fire Brigade.

A meeting of the committee of the Feilding Fire Brigade was held last evening to arrange for the competition on the Queen's Birthday, May 24. Present — Captain Eade (in the chair), Lieut. Newman, Foreman Muller, Firemen Mansell, Thompson and Humphries. On account of the Foresters Hnll and Assembly Eooms being engaged for the 24th, it was decided to hold the social and dance on June sih in the Foresters' Hall. It was resolved to allot four prizes to the one-man engine event ; first, second and third to the two-men engino event ; four to the one-man coupling event ; three to the two-men engine event; two for three-men engine, reel and ladder event. In the fifth event the ladder to be raised in position, caps and coats to be in front of team at start, four buttons ol coat to bo done up at finish. Most of the prizes to be completed for will be on view in Mr Eade'sshop window thia evening.
