Sheep Stealing From Mount Stewart Run.

(Per Press Association.) Wanganui, May 27. At aboui noon to-day, two men named F. Fahrinaun and Rodolph Lukaschewski, were arrested at Hawera on the charge of stealing between 300 and 400 sheep from Mr J. G. Wilson's run, Mount Stewart. It was reported to Sergeant Cullen. after 5 o'clock on Wednesday evening and the men were in custody and the sheep recovered in considerably less than .48 hours. The accused, who have admitted stealing Mr Wilson's sheep, will be brought up at Hawera tomorrow and remanded to Wanganui. The police believe they have unearthed a systematic gang of thieves.
