Manawatu County Council.

The adjourned meeting" of the Manawatu County Council was held yesterday, when there were present — Crs. Hansom (chair), Robinson, Hammond, Wilson, and Masters. The minutes of the previous meeting 1 were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read and dealt with — From the Rangitikei Council asking fbrjreport of Council's Engineer on the Rang-itikei bridge. From C. Bray, report on the Rangitikei bridge at Bulls. Mr F. Y. Lethbridge, requestingthat the name of James Managh be placed on rate rcll for section 112, Sandon Township Block, in place of writer's — Agreed to. From the Treasury, stating- that the papers re loan of £250 for Oroua river protection works were now with the Tuxes Department for the determination of rateable value of ratingarea for loan, and that as soon as valuation has been determined and necessary steps have been leg-ally taken, loan will be available for pay ment to Council's credit. From Clerk of Mai.a\vatu Road Board, account for £590 4s, Council's share of indebtedness for iepairs to Awahuri bridge. Proposed by Cr. Ransom, seconded by Cr Robinson, " That Mr Bray's report re Kang-itikei bridge at Bulls, be received, and be forwarded on to the Kangitikei County Council. — Carried. Ihe accounts were passed and the Council adjourned.
