New South Walas Politics.

(Per Press Association). Svdnky, May 8. Ministers are extremely reticent as to the Financial Statement, and nothing definite has leaked out. It is, however, considered certain that Mr Reid will propose the abolition of all the ad valorem duties of tho Dibbs Government, and probably the whole tariff of the late Ministiy will be swept away, with the exception of the grain duties, winch will remain for a time. Tho re-imposition of the threepenny duty on tea is among the strong probabilities, and there is also some likelihood of the duties on sugar, caudles and biscuits being retained. It is not known whether the income and laud tax will be Id or Id in the pound, but tho.former is considered probable. Should the Government be defeated, it is intended to ask for an immediate appeal to the country.
