Floods in Hawke's Bay.

(Per Press Association.) Napier, May 4. Owing to the very heavy rain during the last few days the Opoiti river rose about four feet and carried away the bridge on the WairoaGisbprne road bodily. The structure came floating down the river. The loss to the Wairoa County Council will be from J63.000 to £4.000. Other damage has been done in the district, and a good deaj of stock drowned.
