Football Notes.

Much interest is being taken in the Senior Championship match to be played on the Oval to-morrow between Feilding and Palmerston. Opinions as to the probable successful team are in favor of the local men, although it is considered by some that Pahuerstou will prove too strong. The following players have been chosen to represent Palmerston, viz : — Weight, Podevin, Johnston, Elliot, Cox, Fitzherbert, Bell, Pyke, Prendergast, Darrocb, Andrews, Otterson, D. Mathenon, P. Matheson, Rutherford. Emergencies—Hankius, G. Podevin, Hitchings. — Standard. "The following team will represent Feilding in their match with Palmerston to-morrow : — Full-back, Moore ; three-quarters, P. Giesen, W. Barlow and Richards ; halves, A. L. Parr and W. Halcombe ; forwards, Martini, W. Giesen, B. Whisker, Scandretb, F. Barlow, Aitken, Sauson, Stewart and Collins; emergencies, FitzGibbons and Morris. Wellington, Mny 2. The Secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union has received a letter from the Queensland Union stating that the Queensland representative team will leave Brisbane for New Zealand about the middle of August.
