The social in connection with the ,; Hope of Feildiug 1.0. G.T. Lodge, ' held in the Foresters' Hall last evening, proved mure successful than was anticipated by the promoters, the Hall being crowded. The stage was prettily decorated and nicely arranged, leuding a pleasing effect to the, glees givoa by a troupe of youiig girls. The production of the glees "Fairy Glen," "Three little pigs," " The tavern in the town," and " Three cheers for the red, white, and blue," was very creditable to those taking part, namely, Miss/Valentine, E. Mackenzie, Ethel Mackenzie, Crisssy Bloomfield, . Mary Blooofield, and Maggie Simpson, the two former taking the 'solo parts. ' Messrs F. Bray and Hoppy assisted in "The tavern in the town."; The item which was best received i>y the ; audience was the comic, song; .in character, " Dear old grandfather,'' . by a little girl, Miss Lavinia Mackenzie, who was deservedly ' recalled.
