Mollaha are still preaching resistance, and military operations will therefore be continuedMr Robertson is rapidly mending The Chitral besiegers held the garden 40 yards from the gate of the forfc, but the British sortie repulsed them. It was in this sortie that Captain Baird received a fatal wound. After he fell Surgeon Whitchurch carried him to shelter although repeatedly surrounded by the rebels. The Doctor gallantly 1 fought his way back to the fort with his dying comrade. The survivors give thrilling details of the siege.
