Australian Trade Outlook.
PROSPECTS BRIGHTER. (Per Press Association.) London, April 24. Speaking at a meeting- ol the shareholders oi the Australian Mort-o-o"-e Land and Finance Company, Mr Young, general manager, complained that the Victorian Government was trying to balance its ledger by increasing taxation on industries. Prospects in New South Wales were much brighter than could have been thought a year ago. He believed the wool had turned the corner, and there was a reasonable hope oi improvement in inferior wools. Mr Young deplored the constant changes of land (-enure in J\ T ew South Wales. The Company would soon find a profitable outlet there tor a large amount of money. Mr Hutchison, a director, believed wool would continue to improve. JJ 10,000 was carried to the reserve. Melbourne, April 23. A decidedly more buoyant ieeling is evident in commercial circles. Ihe general opinion is that business is steadily improving. 'I he warehousemen state it is sounder and bettei than during the laar three years.
