Christchurch Hospital.

«. (P£B PRESS ASSOCIATION) Christchurch, April 24. The Hospital Board went into Committee to consider the following letter from Dr. McGregor: — "I am ;directed by the Hon. W. P. Reeves to suggest to your Board that in view of the suggestive verdict of the late Royal Commission in the matter of the charge I made against your relieving officer, the Department is of opinion that he cannot continue to exci'cise his functions with advantage either to a public Board or himself." On resuming, it was reported that the following resolution had been carried : — " That the Board having considered the letter from the Hon W. P. Reeves is unable to agree with the views expressed therein, and that in the judgment of the Board the action already taken meets in every way the demands of justice."
